Lilia Island

Lilia Island is the most central island. It is the southernmost Northern Island, although it lies across the Raeftaeft from the Lilacan Islands. It has some of the oldest signs of human habitation in the archipelago, in what was once Acov Territory.

Full of fertile grassland, Lilia Island is home to thousands of Qosarlen. Qosarlen are the only fiber-producing animal native to Rhetia. Early on during human settlement, they were domesticated. Up until the year 600, Herders were the primary population. Contrary to popular belief, the Herders did hold permanent settlements as well as temporary ones. The most well-known is Erris Ilinie, which started as a pilgrimage town near the holy site of Tinomar.

Shortly before the year 600, the Lzaiicov Kingdom was founded. A number of wars between the Lzaiicov Kingdom and the Herders, and between the Lzaiicov Kingdom and Rhetia occurred. During the usurper Queen Isleli’s reign, over a hundred Western Isvartoi women and girls were captured and sacrificed near a temple in the northern reaches of the Lzaiicov Kingdom. This incited the war that led to the demise of the Lzaiicov Kingdom. Apart from Acov Territory, a group of Herder towns which asked to remain neutral, and Dinae Territory, the island fell under Rhetian rule.

  • Southern Leli County (Includes the Acov Desert, the religious town of Erris Ilinie, and the herder town of Aschot Misti)
